What Geoscopio is and how it works
Geoscopio is the geoportal of the Regione Toscana: it collects and publishes the official cartography of the regional territory and makes it consultable directly from a browser, without installing any software. Among the available layers is also cadastral cartography, alongside orthophotos, Regional Technical Maps, land use, constraints, and urban planning tools.
A common misconception to clarify immediately: Geoscopio is used to consult cartography, while official extracts and floor plans remain the responsibility of the Agenzia delle Entrate, which releases them through its online services. The two tools do not replace each other: they complement each other.
With Geoscopio you can:
- consult cadastral cartography overlaid with other territorial layers
- identify sheets and parcels directly on the map
- compare the current state with orthophotos and historical cartography
- access data as services WMS and WFS, then use them in QGIS or within a WebGIS
Coverage: Tuscany, not all of Italy
Geoscopio covers the territory of the Tuscany Region. Other regions have similar geoportals, each with their own layers and usage conditions, while for nationwide cadastral data the reference remains the Agenzia delle Entrate. This is an important clarification: those searching for data outside Tuscany on Geoscopio will not find it.
